Introduction
A custom balcony deck and staircase for a private guest suite in Franschhoek, designed to improve function and the guest experience. The elevated deck provides an outdoor area to relax and take in views, with the stair giving access to the garden.
The work
The project
The WordPress project file records H3-treated pine decking boards; pressure-treated structural pine beams and joists; galvanized brackets and coach screws; stainless-steel screws through the decking; and a staircase with stringers, risers and matching pine treads. The completed deck and stair were finished with a teak sealant.
