Project Description

House Fisher

This project focuses on the design and construction of an elevated outdoor deck paired with a pergola, conceived as a transition space between the built structure and the surrounding natural landscape. Positioned along the slope, the deck extends outward to capture expansive views of the greenery, creating an immersive outdoor living experience.

The deck is constructed using durable, weather-resistant CCA H3 Treated timber, arranged in clean linear patterns that guide movement and visually elongate the space. Its elevated design not only responds to the site’s topography but also minimizes ground disturbance, allowing natural vegetation to thrive beneath and around it.

Complementing the deck, the pergola structure provides partial shade while maintaining openness to the environment. Built with a simple yet elegant frame, it filters sunlight to create dynamic patterns of light and shadow throughout the day. This enhances comfort without disconnecting users from the outdoor setting.

Integrated planters along the deck edges introduce vibrant foliage, softening the architectural lines and reinforcing the connection to nature. The combination of structure and greenery creates a balanced composition that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Overall, the deck and pergola serve as a versatile outdoor space for relaxation, gathering, and contemplation—blending modern design with the tranquility of the natural surroundings.
